Chalte Raho Pyare Fauj

The air is thick with war cries after the Valentine’s Day massacre in Pulwama, and the grieving force has even had to battle rumours, words and images being spread on social media to foment hatred.
Chalte Raho Pyare Fauj . That is what the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is fondly called in police parlance. Cynics would call them cannon fodder. The CRPF is the dogsbody of India's internal security. They are sent to the aid of state police forces, they help beef up VIP security, they maintain law and order during elections.
Mao said "The guerrilla must move amongst the people as a fish swims in the sea." It is the CRPF's unenviable duty to fish in our troubled waters, tackling the Maoists in Chhatisgarh and Jharkhand, insurgents in Nagaland and Manipur, and Pakistan-backed terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir.
The CRPF is the biggest active paramilitary force in the world - 246 battalions and a sanctioned strength of over 300,000 men and a handful of women. The other paramilitary forces in the country have more defined tasks - the Border Security Force and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police guard our borders, and the Central Industrial Security Force guards airports and sensitive installations. The CRPF is thrown into every breach. In the Kashmir Valley it is the 'intermediate force' that maintains the thin line between civilian and Army rule.

It was not meant to be so challenging when the force was born 80 years ago during the British Raj as the Crown Representative's Police. Our paper warriors rear up in high dudgeon when an outrage occurs - as happened in April 2017 when 26 CRPF men were slaughtered in a Maoist ambush in Chhatisgarh's Sukma -- but when was the last time somebody really tried to get under the skin of a CRPF jawan? How much has changed since I spoke with exhausted CRPF troopers in Manipur nearly four decades ago about their tough lives?
The CRPF man in Kashmir is expected to perform some of the most daunting duty - foot patrols in towns and villages bristling in revolt, or sitting trapped in vehicles attacked by hundreds of stone pelters, or dawn-to-dusk ROP (road-opening party) work, securing highways for Army convoys to roll past. The average posting in a disturbed area is for two years. Although the CRPF and the Army are 'garrison forces' that return to base every day, CRPF encampments are poorer cousins of the Army's spit-and-polish establishments. There are very few 'family barracks' - most CRPF men have left their families back in their villages.
he CRPF men are always on the move," a senior officer told me. "They do not even have a place they can call their base. When they are on duty they are billeted anywhere local authorities can squeeze them in, unlike the Army that always has designated camps."
The air is thick with war cries after the Valentine's Day massacre in Pulwama, and the grieving force has even had to battle rumours, words and images being spread on social media to foment hatred.

At the same time, there has been an outpouring of public sympathy and support for the CRPF. The Home Ministry's Bharat ke Veer portal collected tens of thousands of donations from citizens. The next of kin of each slain trooper are entitled to a lump sum of Rs 35 lakh, and pension equivalent to last pay drawn. Jawans' children are offered financial aid through school and college. In October 2010, the UPA government ordered full reimbursement of all tuition and hostel charges for the children of soldiers killed on active duty. On the Seventh Pay Commission's recommendation, hostel fee reimbursements were capped at Rs 10,000 per month, but in March 2018 the NDA government removed the cap and restored full reimbursement.
However, things are not going to get better until we drastically reform our policing systems. Law and order is a state subject, so policing is a messy patchwork dictated by state budgets. The local constabulary is mostly frittered away on bandobast duty or VIP security (including performing menial tasks for the politicians in power). It is convenient for the states to ask the Central government to send CRPF 'reinforcements' every time a disturbance erupts. It also suits the Centre to send in the CRPF so it can wield some influence in state-level maintenance of public order.
Despite a ratio of more than 600 police for every 100,000 citizens in Kashmir, the situation has grown steadily worse. Data compiled by the South Asia Terrorism Portal shows there were 294 incidents of killing in 2018, up from 163 in 2017; they caused 451 deaths in 2018, including 270 terrorists, 86 civilians and 95 security forces, up from 357 in 2017, including 220 terrorists, 54 civilians and 83 security forces.
Nationwide, our police forces are woefully under-staffed. India has one of the world's lowest ratios of 138 police for every 100,000 citizens. One estimate puts the number of countrywide police vacancies at half a million. This vacuum is compounded by personnel shortages in paramilitary forces. Eight days before the Pulwama attack, the government launched a drive to fill 76,578 vacancies in the paramilitary forces. The CRPF accounted for the most: 21,566 constable-level vacancies. CRPF troopers are supposed to get at least three weeks' training every year in rotation, but they are so badly stretched - not least because of our endless merry-go-round of elections - that training is an easy casualty. Something has to change..

Scrooz',
'ये जो है जिंदगी' 'सुरभि' 'रंगोली'
और 'चित्रहार' अब नहीं आता...।।।

रामायण, महाभारत, चाणक्य का वो
चाव अब नहीं आता, बचपन वाला वो
'रविवार' अब नहीं आता...।।।

वो एक रुपये किराए की साईकिल
लेके, दोस्तों के साथ गलियों में रेस
लगाना!

अब हर वार 'सोमवार' है
काम, ऑफिस, बॉस, बीवी, बच्चे;

Mere pas laut ana ...

“Mere Paas Laut Aana”
Jab Raat Ka Diya Bhuj Jaye,
Or Kuch Saaf Nazar Na Aaye,
To Darna Mat
“Mere Paas Laut Aana”
.
Jab Bin Baadal Barsaat Ho Jaye,
Or Tumhe Raasta Na Mil Paaye,
To Udaas Mat Hona
“Mere Paas Laut Aana”
.
Jab Saans Ki Dori Toote,
Or Koi Apna Tumhe Loote,
To Maayoos Mat Hona
“Mere Paas Laut Aana”
.
Jab Dil Tumhara Toote,
Or Kisi Ka Sath Tum Se Chhoote,
To Aansu Mat Bahana
“Meri Paas Laut Aana”
.
Apni Khushi Se Chor Ke Gaye Ho Tum,
Mere Jazbat,Pyar,Aitbar
Ko Tod Ke Gaye Ho Tum,
Phir Bhi Meri Yaad Agar Aaye,
Or Aankhen Tumhari Bhar Aaye,
To Sharmindah Mat Hona
“Mere Paas Laut Aana”
.
Bas Itna Kehna Chahti Hoon,
Ke Hamesha Intizar Karungi,
Is Kayenat Se Zyada Pyar Karungi,
Magar Jab Tumhe Meri Yaad Aaye,
To Rukna Mat
“Mere Paas Laut Aana ”
Jab Kabhi Tumhe Meri Yaad Aaye,
To Rukna Mat
“Mere Pass Lout Aana”
Zindagi Ka Kuch Waqt Guzaara Hai Saath Tumhare,
Wo Waqt Kabhi Tume Yaad Aaa Jaaye,
To Rukna mat
“Mere pass Lout Aana”
Jab Pehli Baar Mile The Hum,
Ek Pal Main Dost Ban Gaye The Hum,
Wo Pal Agar Tume Kabhi Yaad Aaa Jaaye,
Aur Dil Ki Dhadkan Tez Ho Jaaye,
To Rukna mat
“Mere Pass Laut Aana”
Log Aksar Saath Nahi Dete Hein, Dil Waalo’n Ka,
Paas Reh Kar Agar Koi Saath Na De,
To Rukna mat
“Mere Pass Laut Aana”
Aaj Naa Jaane Kyo Teri Itni Yaad Aaa Rahi Hai,
Agar Is Paigaam Par Teri Nazar Pad Jaaye,
To Rukna mat
“Mere pass Laut Aana”

What is CRPF

What Is CRPF ??
CRPF is:-
When a cold and shivering jawan gets you a cup of hot tea on a DEEP JUNGLE UNDER LIFE THREAT.
When your sixth sense tells you that there is something wrong AT DISTANCE OF 100 meters.
When you meet with an accident and the first thing you check is hows is Ur buddy before checking the serviceability of your legs.

When u wake up suddenly from a dreadful dream and try to find Ur rifle, and then realising that u are at home on leave..

When you speak the language of your boys.
When you sit from dusk to dawn in an ambush on FESTIVAL DAYS, and u keep on waiting to celebrate later..
When you are a master at LUP, lanterns, solar lights, and travelling in trains without reservations.
When u don't even think once before sitting or lying down anywhere, and Ur brother says "Abe bhai Kahan baith Raha hai".
When u mistakenly ask " koi or point to nahi h na"., to Ur mom..
When u look for  olive green for every shirt or t shirt, even for Ur wedding suit.
When you know more about cramps and cold injuries than your average doctor.
When a girl in the pub is indicated by clock-ray method. 2 BJE KI LINE ..
When only your buddy can dig out the thing you want from your rucksack.
When your pain submits to your will.

When you find it funny when your relative says he’s going on a holiday to a hill station. OR WANT TO LEAVE IN PRISTINE ENVIRONMENT
When your profession is a matter of discussion during marriage proposals., And u just get rejected because u r serving in CRPF.

When you do not believe in ghosts but do believe in Peer BabA, Regional God's, Bheji Mata..
When u take leave of Ur loved ones to invest more of Ur time caressing Ur rifle and uniform..

When you know the real meaning of camouflage, in field, in parties, in unit routine and in your own house.
When any wake up call seems like CHM calling u and knocking in your head during training..

When you can live, anywhere, with anybody, on anything that nature can offer.
When you know this LMG will be re-sited by everybody up the ladder, till it comes back to where you had sited it initially.
When somebody asks, “Do you play Golf?” and you look at the brass on your shoulder and say “Not yet!”
When you are the biggest consumer of foot powder, DMP oil, water sterilization kit, ORS packets and Meals Ready to Eat in the JUNGLE.
When you gave it all that you have got, and some more.
When you are the only one to get trained in JUNGLE SURVIVAL . And expect it to happen.
When your girlfriend thinks you are Rambo, Commando, Gladiator and Braveheart, all rolled into one. Your CO, by the way, thinks you are none.
When you get lost in a multiplex with signboards but are at ease in a jungle with a compass.
When you can die for, what you have lived for.
Thats the CRPF..
Pipl call it CRPF,
The CRPF MEN call it LIFE...

Singleys

Aakash ka soona pan mere tanha mann mein
Payal Chankaati tum aajao jeevan mein
Saansen lekar apni sangeet amar kardo
Banjao meet mere meri preet amar kardo
Jag ne cheena mujhse mujhe jo bhi laga pyaara
Sab jeeta kiye mujhse main har dum hee haara
Tum haar ke dil apna meri jeet amar kardo
Banjao meet mere meri preet amar kardo

Kahin dur jab din dhal jaaye saanjh ki dulhan badan churaye
chupke se aaye
Mere khayaalon ke aangan mein koi sapnon ke deep jalaaye
deep jalaaye
Kahin dur.
Kabhi toh yeh jab huwi bojhal saansen bhar aayi baithe
baithe jab yunhin aankhen
Kahin dur jab din dhal jaye saanjh ki dulhan badan churaye
chupke se aaye

Yaad hai mujhko tune kaha tha tumse nahi ruthenge kabhi
Meri baahon mein beeti har shaam bewafa yeh bhi kya yaad
nahin
Kya hua tera vaada woh kasam woh iraada
Woh kehne waley mujhko fareebi kaun fareebi hai yeh bata
diya
Nasha daulat ka aisa bhi kya ki tujhe kuch bhi yaad nahin
Kya hua tera vaada woh kasam woh iraada(aaaa)

Shama kahe parwane se, pare chala jaa
meri tarah jal jayega, yahaan nahin aa
woh nahin sunta usko jal jaana hota hai
har khushi se, har gham se, begaana hota hai
(Sing it all of you)
pyaar dewaana hota hai, mastaana hota hai
har khushi se, har gham se, begaana hota hai

Zindagi ke safar mein, guzar jate hain jo maqaam
woh phir nahin aate, woh phir nahin aate
phool khilte hain, log milte hain
phool khilte hain, log milte hain yunhin
patjhad main jo phool murjha jate hain
woh baharon ke aane se khilte nahin
kuchh log jo yunhin bichad jate hain
woh hazaron ke aane se milte nahin
ek baar chale jaate hai jo dino-raat subho-shaam
woh phir nahi aate, woh phir nahi aate
Woh phir nahi aate, woh phir nahi aate!

Yeh jeevan hai, iss jeevan ka
Yahi hai, Yahi hai, Yahi hai rangroop
Thode gham hain, Thodi khushiyaan
Yahi hai, Yahi hai, Yahi hai chaon dhoop

Main pal do pal ka shayar hoon
Pal do pal meri kahaani hai
Pal do pal meri hasti hai
Pal do pal meri jawaani hai
Main pal do pal ka shayar hoon

Kabhi kabhi mere dil mein khayaal aata hai
Ki jaise tujhko banaya gaya hai mere liye
(Yeh jhoot bolte hain mere khayaal mein)
Ki jaise tujhko banaya gaya hai mere liye
Tu abse pehle phanwaaron mein bas rahi thi kahin
Tu abse pehle sitaaron mein bas rahi thi kahin
Tujhe zameen pe bulaya gaya hai mere liye
Kabhi kabhi mere dil mein khayaal aata hai
Ki jaise bajti hain shehnaaiyaan si raahon mein
Ki jaise bajti hain shehnaaiyaan si raahon mein
Suhaag raat hai ghoonghat utha raha hoon main
Suhaag raat hai ghoonghat utha raha hoon main
Simat rahi hai tu sharma ke apni baahon mein
Simat rahi hai tu sharma ke apni baahon mein
Simat rahi hai tu sharma ke apni baahon mein
Kahi kabhi mere dil mai khayal aata hai...
